Best Practice in Screen Sector Development

Client: Association of Film Commissioners International (AFCI)

Location: International

SPI is currently undertaking an updated version of their 2019 study Best Practice in Screen Sector Development.

The updated study will feature expanded analysis, insights and case studies into the screen sector’s evolving landscape. It will investigate a wide range of strategies employed by governments, legislators, and industry stakeholders to foster screen sector growth in both established and emerging markets. It will also expand on the scope of the initial study to account for the changes in the global screen sector over the past five years.

In addition, the new study will analyse current best practices in diversity, equity and inclusion strategies, screen production sustainability, and stakeholder engagement. Extensive case studies will be included to illustrate best practice findings, while the study will consider both formal and informal best practice approaches.
