Client: International Sámi Film Institute (ISFI)

Location: Sápmi region

Commissioned by the International Sámi Film Institute (ISFI), this study provided in-depth and comprehensive evidence of the impact of, and potential for, the Sámi film and television industry.

The study provided a robust evidence base for the economic, cultural, social, and strategic impacts created by Sámi screen production across the Sápmi territories of northern parts of Finland, Sweden, Norway and the Russian Kola Peninsula. The study also outlined strategic recommendations for the ISFI in relation to future opportunities and approaches that might be employed to further grow the Sámi screen industry.
