SPI’s Study on UK Independent Film Sector Referenced in Screen Daily Article

OlsbergSPI (SPI)’s 2017 study The State of the UK Independent Film Sector, for UK producers' body Pact, was referenced in Screen Daily on the UK’s new Independent Film Tax Credit (IFTC).

The article features an interview with Harriet Finney, Deputy CEO and Director of Corporate and Industry Affairs at the British Film Institute (BFI) on the new credit and notes that the 2017 study ‘started the conversation’ about a targeted relief: “UK producers’ organisation Pact started the conversation about a targeted tax relief for independent film with the industry in 2016, introducing the 40% figure in 2017 alongside its ‘The State Of The UK Independent Film Sector’ report, put together by Olsberg SPI.”
