SPI to Conduct Comprehensive Economic Study on Utah’s Rural Film Incentive Program

OlsbergSPI (SPI) has been commissioned by the Utah Film Commission to undertake a comprehensive data study of Utah’s Rural Film Incentive Program.

The study will evaluate the economic impact of the regional incentive uplift, including benefits for rural communities and the state overall. It will also provide qualitative analysis through case studies and strategic recommendations for future development.

This project follows SPI’s previous study for the Motion Picture Association of Utah and the Utah Film Commission, which highlighted the success of Utah’s Film and Television Incentive Programme in driving economic growth, creating employment opportunities, attracting productions to the state, and exploring the potential benefits of expanding the incentive cap.
