Mounira Almenoar

Associate

 

Mounira is a research associate and project manager with over 20 years of experience. Her areas of expertise include screen sector education, skills and career development, regional screen strategy, workforce development, and inclusion, equity and diversity.   

Mounira has worked with SPI on a range of projects since 2015, including in Australia and elsewhere. These include an impact report for the International Sami Film Institute, a Production Infrastructure Capacity Report (PICA) for Ausfilm, and a large-scale COVID-19 project for the Motion Picture Association (MPA). She was the main research associate on Best Practice in Approaches to Addressing Equity and Inclusion in the Screen and Broadcast Industries, an international study for the Australian Film, Television and Radio School (AFTRS).

Mounira is currently working on a major global workforce analysis for an SPI client, focusing on training, and diversity and inclusion; a 5-year workforce strategy project for Bristol City Council and The Bottle Yard Studios; a crew mapping and forecasting project for the British Film Institute; and a screen sector study for the Artic Indigenous Film Fund and Telefilm in Canada.

Her other projects include working with Raising Films, Into Film, Diversity Arts Australia, the British Council and Tate Britain. Mounira has over 15 years of teaching and career development experience.
