SPI was retained by the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region to explore and identify possible goals of the Hong Kong film industry and to recommend strategies for achieving those goals.

SPI was retained by the Maltese government to conduct an analysis of the present infrastructure, policies and resources for the film industry in Malta. T

SPI was tasked by the Polish Chamber of Commerce to analyse the environment in Poland for the possible introduction of a new tax incentive, including an assessment of the effectiveness of other tax incentive systems and providing a set of recommendations for what might work in Poland and benefits to be derived.

SPI conducted a major review of the development needs of the Northern Ireland film and broadcast sector.

SPI was the international expert member of the team that worked for Chile’s economic development ministry in analyzing Chile’s current offer to international productions (film, television, commercials).

Recognising the increasing competition for portable productions, and threats to the local film sector, the Czech Ministry of Culture hired SPI to analyse the sector.

SPI has completed dozens of studies for national and regional film commissions, from Chile to Finland to Australia and many countries in-between.

In separate assignments, SPI advised both the Australia Film Commission and Film Finance Australia on the best way forward to implement government policy which required the two agencies (development and production finance) to merge.
