SPI Senior Research Analyst Emma Openshaw to Join Panel on AI and Copyright at Game Changer Montenegro 2025
Olsberg•SPI (SPI) senior research analyst, Emma Openshaw will be speaking on a panel to discuss and examine both the opportunities and ethical considerations of integrating AI into creative workflows at this year’s Game Changer Montenegro Festival.
The panel, hosted alongside the Film Centre of Montenegro, will explore the evolving relationship between AI and the creative industries. Joined by panellists, Maja Cappello (Head of the Department for Legal Information, European Audiovisual Observatory | Observatoire européen de l'audiovisuel) and Friederike Kleinfercher (Head of the Max Planck Digital Decentralized Science Initiative), the discussion will delve into how artificial intelligence is reshaping the way stories are told, how content is produced, and how audiences engage with media.
Emma will draw from her expertise in production, research and strategic development, branching across many aspects of the screen sector, including through her role in the SPI team contributing to the UK national R&D project, CoStar. As a delivery partner in the CoStar Foresight Lab, SPI are providing insights on international research, technological innovations and industry trends to best inform creative industries strategy and policy.
Emma will be attending the festival from 3rd to 6th July 2025.
