SPI CEO to Speak at MEXAV in Mexico City
Olsberg•SPI (SPI) CEO Leon Forde will speak at the MEXAV Audiovisual Industry Forum 2026, which takes place on the 9th and 10th September 2026 at Estudios Churubusco in Mexico City.
MEXAV was created with the goal of becoming an annual forum for dialogue, reflection, and exchange within the audiovisual sector. It promotes the sharing of knowledge, experiences, and collective perspectives on the present and future of the Mexican audiovisual industry in national, regional, and international contexts.
The forum brings together producers, filmmakers, public institutions, companies, streaming platforms, exhibitors, and both national and international experts to engage in strategic conversations about the challenges and opportunities facing the industry.
Leon will deliver a session called The Competitive Edge at 10.50am on Thursday 10th, exploring why global screen incentives are so fundamental – and how they are changing.
The forum is organised by the Mexican Institute of Cinematography (IMCINE), the Mexican Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMACC), the National Chamber of the Film Industry (CANACINE), the Mexican Federation of Film Producers (FMPC), the Mexican Association of Independent Producers (AMPI), and Estudios Churubusco, with the support of Netflix and other key private-sector stakeholders.
