Behind the Camera: Investment and Creativity for Latin America and the Caribbean. SPI supports exciting new publication

This week, the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), with the support of Netflix, launched an exciting new study into the current audiovisual sector across Latin America and the Caribbean.

This timely report assesses the present state of the audiovisual sector in Latin America and the Caribbean in the context of increased production demand resulting from the growth of streaming and national industries in the region.

The study draws from over 100 interviews with emerging creators, producers, entertainment executives, government officials, and film association professionals, as well as an online survey conducted by SPI into the current and future skill gaps and demands for the audiovisual industry across Latin America and the Caribbean. This survey captured the views of over 400 producers from across 22 countries.
