Kiera Obi
Research Analyst
Kiera joined SPI in 2025. As a Research Analyst, she works across the firm’s portfolios, undertaking in-depth research and analysis.
Kiera’s current SPI projects include a regular intelligence briefing for a major studio, a Production Infrastructure and Capacity Analysis (PICA) for Australia’s screen production sector, and a skills assessment for the UK’s Digital Content Creator sector. Kiera is also involved in the UK national R&D project CoSTAR (Convergent Screen Technologies and Performance in Realtime), supporting technological advancement in the screen and games sector.
Her past projects include an economic impact assessment of original productions in Australia for a major studio, a studio assessment in the North of England, an economic impact assessment of the Greek film and television cash rebate, a production incentives analysis and recommendations study for the Producers Guild of Poland, and a screen tourism assessment at Black Country Living Museum in the West Midlands.
Prior to SPI, Kiera was an Analyst at Mercer, where she delivered employee engagement projects for organisations across a range of geographies and industries.
Kiera holds an MA in Psychology from the University of St Andrews.
