Olsberg|SPI has undertaken the following assignments for The Scotland Office:

SCOTTISH FILM FINANCE
Constructing a strategy, and writing a detailed business plan, for a new film finance body in Scotland. The principal objective was to identify a methodology for public and private finance to combine in support of future film production activity in Scotland.

A DEVELOPMENT STRATEGY FOR THE FILM AND TELEVISION SECTOR IN SCOTLAND
This exhaustive study on the development of the film and television industries in Scotland was commissioned by the Scottish Office. The assignment resulted in the writing of a major report, Scotland on Screen, which articulated a development strategy for the film and television sector in Scotland. The purpose of this three month study was to identify constraints to the future development of these industries in Scotland and to recommend specific and detailed courses of action to be followed in order to overcome these constraints and unlock the potential of the Scottish screen industries. The study generated a blueprint for the development of the sector with well thought-through, specific recommended actions. Many of the recommendations were implemented including one to form the first UK unified agency for film, resulting in the creation of Scottish Screen.
